Cheer Philosophy
Lawrence Cheer Athletics is committed to developing young athletes inside and out. Our highly qualified, friendly coaching staff strives to teach valuable life skills while we strengthen bodies in an enthusiastic, positive environment.
Cheer is a great sport to get children involved in! It teaches kids how to perform and compete in pressure situations and the importance of teamwork, in a positive environment this improves self-esteem and self confidence.
LCA also includes cardiovascular and strength training in our programs. Psychological studies show that developing sound gross motor skills at an early age provides the best foundation for fine motor and cognitive development that follow.
At LCA we teach good sportsmanship to our young athletes. We believe this is a very important skill for young people to have and best taught at an early age. It instills courtesy and healthy competition. We incorporate this training in our classes as well as all the competitions we enter, because it’s never too early to start!
All LCA coaches are US All Star and AACCA safety certified. Although risk can not be eliminated entirely, teaching progression drills and using a step by step approach in a “Safety First” environment ensures a higher level of safety for participants.
We have FUN!! At LCA our kids have a great time while they learn and grow as young athletes.
