Maya Tillman-Rayton (Head Coach, Cheer Program Director)

Maya has a long history of coaching in Lawrence.  With a background in cheer, gymnastics & dance, her versatility has earned an impressive career.  Such accomplishments include Level 5 coach for the women’s gymnastics program, choreographer & assistant coach for Lawrence High School’s Illustrious Program, president of the Unity Hip Hop Troupe & currently Varsity Cheer coach for Lawrence Free State High School.  Maya’s other dance accreditations include Master hip hop teacher for KU’s dance department & national choreography awards in both jazz & hip hop.  She continues her dance education by taking master classes under Brian Friedman, Tabitha & Napoleon D’Umo & Dave Scott (So You Think You Can Dance).  A 2003 graduate of The University of Kansas, Maya attributes her career of working with kids to the pure love of cheer & dance.
